EZINNE NWUDE, MD, MPH, FACFP

Ezinne Nwude, MD, MPH, FACFP is Board Certified in Family Health and, with her physician husband Ugo Nwude, MD, owns three health clinics in south Arkansas:  Gold Cross Family Clinics in Junction City and El Dorado and Gold Cross Urgent Care in El Dorado. 

 

Dr. Nwude received Excellence in Health NAACP Image Award in 2021 and the National Excellence in Leadership Award from SCP in October 2020, for her leadership with integrity, heart for patients, community education, and daily dedication to excellence.

Board Certified in Family Medicine, Dr. Nwude has a Bachelor of Science degree from City University of New York – Brooklyn College, received her Master of Public Health degree from California State University – Northridge, and earned her medical degree from American University of Antigua College of Medicine graduating cum laude.  She completed her residency in Family Practice at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Fayetteville.

Dr. Nwude serves as Medical Director SHARE Interfaith Clinic; and Adjunct Clinical Professor of Medicine NYITCOM, Arkansas State University. She serves on the Board for the El Dorado Magdalene House for Women.  An accomplished speaker,  She and her husband, Dr. Ugo Nwude, have three daughters.

An advocate of public health education, she speaks to local and state conferences, civic, nonprofit and church organizations on subjects from metabolic syndrome to general health topics including stroke, stress, diabetes and the importance of taking responsibility for your personal good health. In 2020, Dr. Nwude participated in local and international COVID-19 virtual broadcasts. She is also a respected media resource on the status of rural health in America.

Dr. Nwude was named MCSA Physician of the Year in 2017.

where she also served as Chief of Staff, Medical Director for MCSA Hospitalist Program.

There are those who take their health for granted.  I believe we can all be an active member of our personal health team.  Talk to your doctor. Your doctor can do so much...but you can choose to be an advocate team member for your personal health. You must be your own health champion.
